The traveling exhibition

The special exhibition „Manfred Bockelmann. DRAWING AGAINST OBLIVION“ at the Leopold Museum in Vienna was the starting point of this exhibition series.

Manfred Bockelmann’s vision is to turn DRAWING AGAINST OBLIVION into an international traveling exhibit for museums and public institutions around the world and make it accessible to different cultures and people.* Following Vienna and Klagenfurt, DRAWING AGAINST OBLIVION will be on display in Germany for the first time. Manfred Bockelmann’s children’s portraits will be exhibited at the Bundestag in Berlin, starting January 27, 2015.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, Bundestag vice-president Peter Hintze*** will formally open the exhibition at the Paul-Löbe-Haus. The show is accessible to the public from January 28 to February 27, 2015. Due to the German parliament's security restrictions, all visitors must preregister before visiting the exhibit.
